Last night, I tried keeping a dream journal. I actually woke up and remembered it, so I started jotting it down as quickly as possible. Here's what I game up with:
Garage Nightmare:
I'm watching a video game played by someone who's face I don't see. It's upstairs in the TV and exercise room. The game reminds me vaguely of Super Paper Mario, a game I actually have. In the game, the landscape is mostly made out of wood. The character in the game is at the tallest floor of a building when he collects a weapon: some type of spiky clover-leaf thing. A wooden catapult takes you to a secret floor above the supposed "highest" floor, but actually isn't a floor at all. It's a catwalk with various enemies on it. The enemies are red, spiky things that open their mouths and bare their teeth at you when they see you.
I hear this loud bang from downstairs, and my mom says that the cinnamon rolls in the microwave are burning. I race downstairs to the kitchen to find that they're fine, but I get my hands all over them and get all messy and sticky. I hear more bangs, and realize it's coming from the garage. I run into the laundry room and try to carefully crack the door open, but it is already open and I ram into the door loud enough for anyone in the garage to hear. I hear banging and lock the door frantically, while my brother, who's nearby in the family room watching TV, says that he's scared. I never actually saw my brother, and it's then that I wake up in a cold sweat at around 6 in the morning.
So there's my dream in two paragraphs, as much as I can remember. I'm going to keep recording my dreams and see how they correspond to my life.
