Easy Motivation

Motivation can be hard to create when doing something you don't want to do. This could be work at your job, work from school, exercise, or even chores and tasks like mowing the lawn or taking our the trash. Whatever that task is, it's good to have some sort of reward in order to get yourself going. For example, I had to do some homework today. My reward was a bar of Hershey's. A quarter for Algebra, a quarter for Science, a quarter for Social studies and a quarter for Writing. I'm halfway though the bar. So, whenever you feel like putting something off, do it and reward yourself for your astounding self-control!

Internet Time Travel Made Simple

FutureMe.org is a great site where you can send an email to yourself with a delayed timer so it can be send days, months, weeks, or years from now. Imagine in 5 years getting an email from yourself from the past. You can see that things have really changed in that amount of time. Questions will be answered and greater knowledge is gained. So try it out. It's easier than sending an email to yourself in the past.

I Got Joost! And Happiness!

Thanks to some of my wonderful friends at the FilmCow Forums, I got Joost and now I got invites! There's lots of cool channels. My brother's favorite is Transformers, and mine is Guinness World Records. They had 16 cars ride on only two wheels all at once!

There are a lot of things I'm happy about. Here are some right now out of the blue:

  • School ends in one month, nine days
  • High School Musical 2 will be coming out shortly
  • I don't have any more homework this week
  • Three words: National Bingo Night
  • The Dancing With the Stars finale is this week
  • I just went to a birthday party and played laser tag
  • I'm on the verge of fixing this bug in my computer that disables the DirectX
  • I'm on the verge of getting a Wii
  • Happy Happy Happy
  • Joost (duh!)
I hope you're happy. And I mean it.

Psst! Get Joost here!

Whoosh! A Wikipedia Compeditor

I just found out that a new project has been started. It's called the Encyclopedia of Life. Check out the video. Basically this project is coming out to the public mid-2008. It will feature a page for every known species (hopefully). I gotta go now.

Happy Mother's Day!

Total Crazyness...Internet TV!

This week's been pretty busy. Aside from school though, I've been surfing and finding cool stuff. I'll be posting hopefully daily now.

So I want to focus on one popular hype of this month: Joost. Joost is a new Internet Television service that is rumored to be available to the public very, very soon. there's a wide variety of channels, including National Geographic, MTV, Comedy Central, and Channel Frederator. This is gonna be good. Keep an eye out for Joost's launch.

Art Club Fun! Painting Fun! Blogging Fun! Forum Fun!

I strongly regret not posting for the last few days. I've been busy with the Art Walk, homework, and reading. But I'm back!!! I think.

The Art Walk was pretty fun last Friday. I saw all kinds of artwork and got good comments about mine. Art's really something I enjoy. I'll share some of my stuff in a little while. In the mean time, I'm gonna talk about poems.

Poetry's cool.

There. I said it.

Anyways, I'm getting info about the Civil War shoved down my throat. I have to admit it's slightly intriguing, but not "Pirates of the Caribbean 3" intriguing.

Guess what? I'm really going to talk about poetry now! Woohoo!

So we're doing a poetry unit in school right now. "Okay, cool," you say. But inside you're thinking "I hate poetry." If you're not, I congradulate you. Here are some of my most recent poems. I hope they're good enough for your eyes.

Space

What is space like?
A vast emptiness?
As empty as the unlit moon?
As empty as a thief’s soul?
The stars in the sky surround me in the night
Little spotlights all focused on me…
As if I were some sort of center of the universe

Troublesome Trouble

Don’t trouble trouble until trouble troubles you
Many times I have heard this
The only thing is that trouble hasn’t troubled me yet
So I haven’t troubled trouble and
I don’t plan on troubling trouble for a long time
I may never trouble trouble
Because what has trouble done to me?

Paper

A blank sheet of paper can hold many mysteries
With pencil in hand, I form curves and delicate patterns
For many to behold
Cross-hatching and shading
Astonishing details
And while specific angles continue the realism,
Depth’s illusion runs rampant
Across this thin sheet of bleached wood.
In reality, a sheet of paper is a window into the imagination
For people to observe and admire and think,
“Now that’s a pretty picture.”

Language

One day language spoke out to me
I used to just know it was free
I learned it persuades
And gives me good grades
I consider it now as a key

Tada!

Also this is a really cool forum, created by the animator and voices of Charlie the Unicorn. It's snazztastic! http://www.filmcow.net/forums/

P.S. The title bar at the top of the window in the forum changes every week or so. 640!!!

Magic Quick Homework Time!

I'm a little busy at the moment getting ready for the Art Walk, but here's a video I recently made. Google Video rocks, hands down.
